Arcadio Reyes-Lecuona is an Associate Professor at the University of Malaga and the Head of the DIANA research group. He obtained his PhD degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Málaga in 2001. He is a Telecommunication Engineer since 1995 (BSc + MSc equivalent) and Psychologist since 2017 (BSc+MSc equivalent). During the last 20 years, he has been working in VR and 3D interaction and in the past years his research is focused in 3D audio. He has participated in several EU and national projects and has been PI in three national projects and four European projects. Arcadio Reyes-Lecuona’s research interests are in 3D audio and HCI in VR, including sonic interaction, He is the coordinator of the technical development of the 3D Tune-In Toolkit, an open-source library for binaural spatialisation and hearing loss simulation.  He is member of the steering committee of the Spanish association of Human Computer Interaction (AIPO) and member of the executive committee of the EuroVR association.

Arcadio Reyes-Lecuona is coordinator of WP3: “Integration”, focused on building the SONICOM Framework where results coming from WP1 and WP2 will be integrated. He also participates in WP1 and WP2 contributing in those tasks related with speech intelligibility and spatial audio for VR/AR with special focus on collaborative virtual environments.
